I am a doer, when the inspiration hits me I just do and don't think.

If i have a goal in mind everything else is not important anymore. The advantage of this is that I don't let myself be distracted, the disadvantage is that once I cut a piece from my mother's scarf, because yes, that fabric just fitted my project perfectly. During my study at the high school of the arts in Utrecht I learned to channel my urge to act, to consider steps and to think through before I act, but without losing my flow.

 

Since I became a vegan, I have become more and more aware of the connection between my behavior and the world around me. Everything i do, every choice i make has a consequence, which i must be aware of. By making something beautiful or delicious, i can tempt people to make the right choice with me.

 

I love "waste", to make something beautiful and useful out of waste, for a worthy second life. I want to show that you can make good quality products with secondary materials and still participate in the fashion around you in a responsible way, using something that is already there and making it better. I find that is a lot more interesting than developing a new product from scratch.
